It goes back about a second and then continues. I can't go back any more than one second.

Is this for all videos, or just a particular one?

It seems to be for all.  If I press and hold REV eventually it starts rewinding like mad all the way to the beginning.

More info.  My LG TVs work just fine on the same video.

Each rew/ff press will go back one step (as defined by your rew/ff intervals in settings). You need to wait for it to jump to this location before you can press it again, it does not queue key presses. I think only Samsung has this limitation as the playback buffer is so short. So even if you press rew 5 times quickly, it will only go back one step. @Lukei think previously you would allow this to buffer key presses and only initiated the seek command once there was a short delay from the user. It worked much better on Samsung, the current method is a bit clunky.

@jglazer63if you press and briefly hold the left/right arrow (not rew/ff keys) then it will start seeking slowly in that direction.  If you have the thumbnail generation option turned on then you should see thumbnails and can press enter to stop seeking at that location. Pressing the same arrow key subsequent times once the seeking starts will increase to x2, x3, x4 speeds.
