stream34000 2 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi there, i'm using Emby Server 4.9.1.90 for synology. All my folder are reconised exept one... the "Animes". I think i've correctly param the emby app using system users rights. but this folder don't want to work no matter what i'm trying... i'm also using the nomenclature for tvdb. The thing i can't explain, jellyfin can read all the folders without any modifications. Why Emby don't want to work properly ? What i'm doing wrong ? (am also using AniDB and AniList for anime metadata) Thanks for your help
Luke 42077 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi there, what exactly makes you think that it's not recognized?
stream34000 2 Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 Hi Luke, thanks for your answer. i think that because this folder is the only one who stays empty after a complete metadata update of the whole library. all the folders inside the folder « videos » are recognized, the files are available in every view of emby (for example the cartoons can be used in the following view : series, suggestions, à venir etc…) the anime one stays desperately empty even on the folder view
stream34000 2 Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 Hi Is there any way I can get help on this topics ? Do you need any files ? thanks
Luke 42077 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Please try running a library scan and then attach the Emby server log once it finishes. Thanks.
stream34000 2 Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Hi thanks for your support. please find the requested files embyserver.txt hardware_detection-63903640414.txt
Neminem 1516 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) You have inotify issues you need to fix. System.IO.IOException: System.IO.IOException: The configured user limit (8192) on the number of inotify watches has been reached, or the operating system failed to allocate a required resource. You also have permission issues you need to fix. I don't have a Synology box, so can't help with this. System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/video/Animes/Dark Gathering S01 VOSTFR 1080p WebRip x265 10bits AAC' is denied. ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/music/Defected In the house/2016 VA - Sam Divine - Defected Presents Sam Divine In The House' is denied. ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied Edited January 10 by Neminem
stream34000 2 Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Hi thanks for your answer, I’ve created a folder and some files are recognized some don’t… I also tried the RTM Topic’s solution, without great success
stream34000 2 Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Fixed with removing and adding rights for all apps and user inside synology. Also fixed with the last emby server version :4.9.3.0 1 1

Neminem was just saying you had an additional problem and RTM also will not work as long as you're getting inotify errors in your logs. Good, to see you were able to fix the permission denied problem with your folder though.
