How long does metadate refresh take (3400 movies on QNAP docker)

Hello. I didn't have the collections turned on for my library and just turned it on and rescanned my library.  It found 3.  Seemed like a small number.  I rescanned from the server settings Refresh Metadata not from within the movie GUI.  It hit 100%.  Do I need to  set replace all metadata, replace existing images, or replace existing video preview thumbnails for collections to be created?  I got 3 but there are more than that I think...I can wait, just curious.

Thanks

Hi, you don't need to replace all images. Just the normal metadata refresh.

Thanks.  So it created collections.  Will it also put in pictures or do I do this manually?

It should yes. What metadata and image fetchers are enabled on the collections library?

There have been quirks with Collections and may have to multi-select all of them and Refresh metadata (per other topics).  But first verify the Collection library configs.

Thanks.  Got it.  I rearranged them so that if I selected the source it is now above one that was not selected (ordered) and I turned on the metadata for the collections.  Refreshing now....

I refreshed all metadata and noting changed then clicked this and one of them changed

Is there a fast way to select all of them?  The refresh Metadata from this area works!

Figured it out. [SHIFT] and hover then click.

For collections you have to select multi-select on first item, hold shift, scroll to last item and click on it the use the multi-select Refresh option on the three dot menu at the top right of ribbon.

Kind of a side question.  Can the collections show items that are in the collection but you don't have?

No.
