BalthazarBux 16 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I got all The Appendices for LotR sorted under each movie as Extras. I have a srt subtitle for each mkv. (Also vobsub in the mkv) But when I play, I cant get subtitles. No options for it in the Android player. It works on PC with VLC. Is there limitations when files is under the Extras folder? (Maybe it is something with the mkvs, I cant even play them in Emby with Firefox browser I realized now. "No compatible streams" though I have transcode available.... And I get no progress bar in the Android player, like if I watch 15 mins in an hour long behind the scenes mkv and stop play, it doesnt track where I stop and it lists the video as played in Emby.)
Luke 42077 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

BalthazarBux 16 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Hi, I restarted server and started play only one mkv, and let it run for maybe one minute or two, then exited play. So there should only be one example of video in this log. There was no ffmpeg log though.
Luke 42077 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Hi, is something wrong with the file? BalthazarBux 16 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Yes, maybe it is something with the file, but I don't know what then, it is the same with all files (60 or so for all different extras of "the Appendices") But it is playing, so I don't know what to do with the file to fix this or what the encoder did wrong. Can see everything with my MediaInfo program on the PC.
BalthazarBux 16 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 I will try that, I'll report back later but also, the external srt, shouldnt that work? Or is it because it cant fetch mediainfo from the mkv too?

Please let us know what happens. Thanks.
BalthazarBux 16 Posted January 8 Author Posted January 8 I remuxed the mkv file as is to new file = no change I remuxed the mkv file without the vobsubs included = Works So something was wrong with the vobsubs. Probably have to extract and convert the vobsub of the language I want to srt manually and then remux all files to remove the vobsubs. "Picture size 0x0 is invalid" it says for the vobsubs in the log. It plays in VLC on PC, but the subs placement is all wrong. Maybe it is possible to somehow get it to work with the included vobsubs, any method of giving them a new "picture size"? Would like to not have to do the vobsub conversion for all files if possible
