Emby won't play on one particular TV

I upgraded my old raspberry pi to an optiplex micro for more capability with other home server stuff. Previous instance of emby worked great on both TV's in house. New instance works fine on both computer and hardwired TV, but on the one TV connected via wifi I get the following message when trying to play a file OR even clicking on a particular episode from the series folder: "There was an error processing this request. Please try again later." The error shows up instantly, there is no buffering or "attempt" to play before it errors out. Attaching server log, pertinent info is at the bottom.

Don't think its a wifi issue as the server shows responses times of 2ms.

Don't think (but not positive) its a permission issue since it works on another TV.

TV in question is LG oled C8.

Server is running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Thanks

It was working that way previously. In any even I re-enabled all transcoding, saved settings and the behavior is unchanged.

I did delete the previous emby app off the TV and reinstalled a few days later, fwiw.

OK can you please provide a new log example after doing that? Thanks.

I enabled transcoding settings and restarted the server to get a cleaner log file. Additionally in case it provided any clues, I started playing an episode on the tv where everything works. I then went to the other tv and encountered the error again, both from the "series menu" when clicking on an episode for additional details, and when clicking play from the same series menu.

Thanks for your quick responses

Did this TV also update the client version at the same time? What Emby client version is it running?  If possible, try and not let it update until we can confirm what version you have running.

I'm having the same problem. It seems I updated Emby on my TV and now this error appears across all content. It works fine on other devices. I think it's a bug in the new update; they should look into it.

Yes, we’re looking into it.

Hi, are you able to provide access to your server for testing? If so then please pm me with your server URL, and a username and password to login with.

Are you using exactly the same user and app settings for both users?  Are both TV's local or remote from the server? It will be really helpful for us to understand anything that is different between the setups of these two TV's.  Thanks

Yes, I only have 1 user setup within emby so both login under the same credentials and app settings. Both TV's are on my LAN, the only difference is the non-working tv is connected via wifi, not wired. Connectivity is excellent so I don't think weak signal is to blame here but can give network stats/testing as needed.
