AndreiP 33 Posted December 29, 2025 Posted December 29, 2025 (edited) Hi, Please check my screenshot. I just wonder why Emby transcode. I attach the logs. The same thing arrive with hevc (8 bit or 10 bit) files. However, it was never transcode before. At first I thought the problem was the internet connection, but the modem was restarted a few times just to be sure. I don't know if the reason is the new update or not, but pleaese check. Happy new year! embyserver.txt Edited December 29, 2025 by AndreiP

AndreiP 33 Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 All is auto in settings. I put here another screenshot and the logs. This time is write "Reduce bitrate due to the quality settings..." Thank you and happy new year to all!
Solution GrimReaper 4739 Posted December 31, 2025 Solution Posted December 31, 2025 44 minutes ago, AndreiP said: All is auto in settings. Well, try setting in-app quality to some fixed numerical value higher than the bitrate of the item you're trying to play (in your example, >4 Mbps), like: "1080p - 10 Mbps" (or any other quality of your preference) and see how does that compare.
AndreiP 33 Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 Thank you for so fast reply. Let me try.

Sorry for the last reply. All settings was to "Auto" in LG app. I changed to "1080p - 10 Mbps" as you advised me and it works without transcode! Wow! Thank you so much! I just wonder, why it happened? I mean with settings to "auto" all was perfectlly functional for a long time. Edited January 28 by AndreiP
Luke 42077 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Hi, if you find that auto is too conservative then then the quality setting is there for you to raise it.
