Emby Server Continuously Crashes on Nvidia Shield during Playback

I am running Emby Server 4.9.1.90 on an Nvidia Shield and after upgrading to this latest version the server has been continuously crashing during playback.  Most of the time I am playing music from a library hosted on a Synology NAS in my local home network while my client is the emby on android mobile app (version 3.5.16).

In reviewing the log files, the only error I see is:

2025-12-27 19:00:09.390 Error AndroidCodecInfoProvider: Video encoder of unsupported type detected: OMX.Nvidia.h265.encoder (MimeType: image/vnd.android.heic)

Eventually, the server restarts and I am able to once again play media but after playing one or two files, it ends up crashing again.  Attached is the emby log file.  Please help!

Hi, one thing you could try is removing the statistics plugin and then restarting the server. Also what other software do you have installed on the Shield?

Thank you Luke.

Unfortunately, uninstalling the statistics plugin did not work.  After doing so and restarting the server, it crashed again about 2 minutes into playing a music file.  I still see the same error (Video encoder of unsupported type detected: OMX.Nvidia.h265.encoder) but sadly no other errors that may provide a clue.

I have attached a fresh set of logs but they look very similar as before.  As to your question about other software installed on the shield, its a pretty standard setup, I have the usual streaming apps (i.e. netflix, prime video, apple tv, pluto, etc).  I also have an installation of plex server which is what I am trying to transition away from :)

Thanks again.
