Recently ran into this issue in which a bunch of my files aren't playable. Some are, some aren't. I am not particularly adept at how emby works. We had similar issues with Plex a few years ago and moved to emby which functioned better, now it doesn't.

I gave it a look and didn't find much on mac specific to this issue. I found a post suggesting full disc access needed to be given to emby and did so.
