Just updated, constantly seeing a big red "there was an error processing the request" on movie and TV pages 😞

@Luke It seems since the Emby service has been updated as of December 26th, 2025 with the Emby 1.0.49 update for the LG Smart TVs (which all were working prior to the update) should signify that there is an issue correlated between the most recent update and Emby on LG smart TVs.  Please investigate as it happened also on my LG OLED smart TV and not any other branded smart TVs are affected currently.  Maybe roll back the update that is causing the LG's to not allow to stream or playback content!?

All of the LG smart TVs are getting the same reported issues.

This issue is all due to the rollout of the most current Emby update 1.0.49 on December 26th, 2025.  Please  fix or revert back due to compatibility issues for LG smart TVs.  All other brands that I have arr not experiencing these issues.

Hi @SwizzD

You need to attach the embyserver log. It's in the logs section on your server

Hi. Same issue here, same movie/same metadata worked fine before update. Same everthying works just fine via mobile or any other emby client but not the one on webos on my LG V.

Any estimate for the rollback/fix?

I’m in the same boat after the last update.
Even uninstalled the app … added new profile to my server to see if it could help. Logged in an out from my accounts. Nothing works.

do we know when this will be fixed ??

Hi, can you reproduce using the TV's web browser and opening http://app.emby.media?

That is our hosted web app and should be largely the same as the LG app. If you can reproduce there, then we can update that quickly to show more error information that might help us track this down.

Thanks.

Is everyone here with this issue on a 2018-2019 set? We're working to get a fix out as quickly as we possibly can. Thanks.
