Based on what I provided earlier (based on your logs) please try using this URL.

That works perfectly. Movie plays, no error, and little gear icon came back up in the top right corner. Now how do I set this as my default? Di I just get rid of my shortcut and drag onto my P.C. home screen?

I wonder what happened

You can certainly add it as a bookmark, but I don't see any reason for localhost to not work...

So Now that every thing works. Did I screw something up?

Compare the to urls you have used.

Working : http://192.168.68.133:8096

Not working : http://192.168.0.101:8096

Does something not add up here.

http://192.168.68.133:8096

http://192.168.0.101:8096

Something changed only you would know.

I haven't a clue. But the problem is fixed now. Thanks for the input and have a great holiday.

I would make sure the IP that appears on your admin dashboard for both home LAN and remote WAN match what is expected, this is what is advertised to client apps.

I'm sorry but I don't understand a word of that.

Your emby server dashboard displays the local and remote addresses that Emby apps will try to connect with. Are those values correct?

Running on http port 8096

Home (LAN) access: http://192.168.68.133:8096

Remote (WAN) access: http://[redacted]:8096

After "my problem" was corrected, I made a bookmark of the Home (LAN) address given to me by Lessaj. By default, I couldn't get on with my old bookmark, which I deleted of course.

Everything seems to be working as it should, except the windows start button. Emby will not start from there, in fact, that button does nothing. Now I don't often use the win start menu, so to me it's no big deal. Would it be a good idea for me to delete the icon on "start" and just take my bookmark and pin it to start?

I just noticed I still cannot get into "Emby Connect" I tried to go there to change my Physical Home address. Emby has me as living in Safety Harbor Florida. I moved from there 2 years ago, and now live in Clearwater Fl, I don't know if this has anything to do with the price of rice in China. I had just re-booted my p.c. and Emby started with "Localhost8096" which does not work. Had to use my new bookmark to start it.

The above photo is just an image of what mine looks like. it's not my actual start menu, thats why emby does not show on it.

I can't take an actual screenshot of my start menu, but mine has an Emby Icon

OK there was a fix for this. It’s probably just not in the version you have yet .

OK, Figured the screenshot thing out. But I still can't get into "Emby Connect" And upon re-boot Emby tries to start with local host, which does not work?

Have no idea if I cant open it. If you know how I can find out, I'll look for it.

Ok sorry. If I open Emby from my new book mark which is what works, it shows version 4.9.1.90 and shows "up to date"

Emby connect I cannot get into to change my physical house address from Safety Harbor Fl. To Clearwater Fl. (could that be the localhost problem?)

Don't you need to reserve the IP address for Emby so it is not used by other users when they login to the network with their TV, phone, notebook or desktop. Usually the router always tries to keep the same virtual IP assigned to each hardware.   But if Emby is off line, isn't it possible that the IP set from the router can reassign to a different IP number if it's not been reserved by Emby and suddenly a lot of users / apps get online? Can that happen?  I am not really sure.  Does anyone know?

My only problem is my p.c. and it's very recent.

OK so the fix for the windows button came after 4.9.1.90, so it will be in the next release. Does that clear everything up now?

That answers that. How about me accessing my emby connect account? Does Emby thinking I live in Safety Harbor, when I actually live in clearwater have anything to do with the web address problems? Hey look, I don't want to be a pain. I now get on Emby just fine, my family and some friends can watch my content. Those wete my biggest xoncerns. I really appreciate all the helo you've given me.
