Manually Named TV Show not Showing As Expected

I have a "show" ... The Little Rascals, which were Theatrical Shorts and not a TV show in the usual sense, but they were shown on TV for decades.

I have the episodes arranged  in an order I like (by era) and have named them properly.

And the episodes are named properly.

So after naming the files and folders correctly, de-identifying the series, doing a library scan, I expected to view the show and see the structure I created but instead, it is creating its own seasons based on ... I guess the IMDB structure, even though I de-identified the series.

There are no folders named Season 9-19 and no files name S09EXX - S19EXX.

I  cannot figure why it is showing up this way.

Any insight appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi, what metadata fetchers do you have enabled on the library at the season level?

The season titles could have come from there.

I had Metadata fetchers on.  Somehow I thought if I de-identified the series, it would just read from the filenames.

Turning all of the metadata fetchers off, removing the files, scanning, re-adding the files and re-scanning has fixed it.

So does this mean that if I turn the fetchers back on (to help with identifying or updating a different series), this will get messed-up again?

I have "Lock this item to prevent future changes" selected, will this protect it?

It just depends on where the unwanted title came from. If it did come from internet metadata, then yes.

Yes but sometimes that can result in too many things being locked, and therefore loss of features. You may just want to lock the season titles instead, or disable season metadata fetchers.
