Anyone with this issue can try out the new beta release to see if it fixes it.

😂🤣Guess it was not that important to update and fix this.

Since @Cr8iveLosrhas not responded 🤷‍♂️

I don't use IPv6 so can't test.

TL;DR: My earlier explanation for bringing this up seems to have been ignored.

I’ll try to clarify things more directly. To reiterate, I’m not actively troubleshooting this issue anymore and haven’t been for several years. At the time, the most consistent and visible symptom I observed was artwork, particularly Live TV images, not loading on IPv6 connected Android TV clients, while everything else continued to function normally.

I don’t have a current setup or logs to contribute at this point. That said, since this discussion has been revived, it’s become clear that there are several other threads describing the same issue in greater detail. Those are likely to be more useful for anyone who is actively investigating the problem more recently.

I do appreciate you taking a fresh look, outlining where the failure would need to be occurring, and suggesting a possible fix. I’m confident the more recent threads will be more helpful going forward, though I may revisit this at a later time.

I understand that. It would obviously be pointless, dealing with a non-working setup for several years. 😉

But you also said

The IPv6 image problem was mentioned only to explain why, despite strongly preferring the Android TV app, I personally cannot use it.

This sounded to me as you might possibly like to give it another try with the fix, that's  why I mentioned you.
