Option to use the movie db for thumbs

I prefer thumb over poster view.  Currently, I use TMDB in Jellyfin or Kodi to automatically download thumbnails. I recently bought a lifetime subscription and it would be great if this option were available so I don’t have to rely on third-party software. I know this has been discussed before but would you please reconsider adding this feature in the future?

If I understood your request correctly, topic title should likely read "Option to use the movie db for thumbs", as TMDB is already included as image fetcher for fanart/backdrops?

I know we have mentioned this in other topics since TMDB has language backdrop as there were removed from being a backdrop option.  It would be nice to map the language backdrops to Thumb/Landscape image.

You don't think they are low quality compared to fanart ?

Thanks for replying 

I like fanart for backdrops but very limiting for thumbnails.

TMDB would only be for thumbnails a resolution of 1920x1080, because the thumbnails are much smaller than backdrops. They still look very sharp on my 65-inch OLED. I've never had an issue with poor quality thumbnails from TMDB over the years.

Also there would be an option to disable TMDB thumbnails

Technically they will be a higher resolution from TMDB but modern movie to a point will have the same images.  Just one place may have images before the other.

OT: but looks like you may have to add fanart.tv (4K Backgrounds) also as almost all modern backdrop from TMDB already are.
