Global subtitle re-timing

Hello!

I’m using Emby as a personal streaming service for my family — many of them are not incredibly tech-literate, so they love the general ease of use of the Emby TV apps.

One problem I have noticed, however, is with subtitles. A majority of the subtitle files I’ve downloaded are off-sync by a second or two; not a problem for me, because I’m comfortable adjusting the timing for my client, but I want to make sure that it’s not frustrating for others who use our server.

Rather than needing to go into a subtitle editor, pull the files from our server, and manually adjust each subtitle file, I’d love for server admins to be able to set a timing adjustment and have it be retained to the file itself rather than just to the client. This would allow me to spot-check, adjust, and then release new content to everyone else after I’ve confirmed it’s solid.
