plittlefield 56 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 I have acquired the trailers for Longlegs and they should appear in a specific order (that movie had the BEST marketing!). I have put them in the movie folder in a sub-folder called Trailers like this with numbers to make Emby play them in order ... `-- Trailers |-- 01 Teaser - Say Your Prayers.mkv |-- 02 Trailer - Every Year There Is Another.mkv |-- 03 Trailer - You've Got the Teeth of the Hydra Upon You.mkv `-- 04 Trailer - The End.mkv ... but when I wait for a while then view the movie screen in Emby on web or Roku, it does not play any of those (just seems to show 2 generic ones) and there is no naming of the Trailers etc. What have I done wrong?
plittlefield 56 Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 How do I do that again ... and should the extra files read the filename title or something so I know it's worked? Will it honour the 01 02 03 ordering?
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Hi, try just going into library setup and then clicking scan all libraries. Quote and should the extra files read the filename title or something so I know it's worked? Will it honour the 01 02 03 ordering? Well trailers generally don't get displayed. It's mainly just when you click the Trailer button that it will play one of them.
plittlefield 56 Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 Ah, so they are treated differently to 'Featurettes' or 'Extras' on the actual movie screen page.
Luke 42077 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 Right we probably should display it like that, but we don't currently.
plittlefield 56 Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 Can I make that a request please, to make a section for Trailers like Featurettes etc. Also if it’s possible to show the trailers in order if the filename has numbering? Is that possible now at all?
Luke 42077 Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 Hi, yes it is certainly possible. Thanks.
