ab123ga 14 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Is there a way to retain posters when there are no upcoming episodes however there were at the time the series was added? An example is I added this program that had repeats. I don't know that there will be any new ones but that's a separate issue. When looking at the series I see no upcoming (14 days) and thus the poster is removed. I have a couple others...just using this as an example.
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 HI, what are these little cutouts from? Please show complete screenshots so that we can understand context. Thanks.
ab123ga 14 Posted December 18, 2025 Author Posted December 18, 2025 (edited) I just did a screenshot. The blank one is the current poster for "Destination Fear" in Emby. When I added the series, there was a poster there. Since there are no episodes in the next 14 days, there's no poster. The 2nd is just a sample poster from a google search. I think this is what was there...if not...very close. The point being when there are no episodes, the poster goes away in Series section. I'm trying to see if a poster can be manually added so its always there; future episodes or not. Edited December 18, 2025 by ab123ga
Luke 42077 Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Quote The blank one is the current poster for "Destination Fear" in Emby. yes I can see that, but it's just a cut out. It would be easier if the entire user interface were visible so that context would be understood. In any event, what metadata and image fetchers do you have enabled on the library?
ab123ga 14 Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 Here's a larger image of the series in question. The channel that feeds the program gets it guide data from the guide data shown. The issue is the posters for live tv programs are not editable where you can lock in a poster image. Movie posters allow selectable images, live tv programs don't and if there is no episodes scheduled in the next 14 days, the poster appears to get removed.
denz 501 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 This is similar in series recordings it has blank but that recording has a poster example murder in a small town.
ab123ga 14 Posted December 19, 2025 Author Posted December 19, 2025 @denz- That's the point I'm trying to get across. In series recordings, if there are no future episodes in the EPG it clears out the poster. Its not that big a deal...just would like a way to retain the poster if possible. There is no ability to manually edit or control the poster in Series recordings. 1
Luke 42077 Posted December 27, 2025 Posted December 27, 2025 OK we will look at improving this. Thanks for the feedback.
