WingDog 16 Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) Hello! yesterday evening I faced with some new issue - playback didn't start at all, only blue circle was spinning around on a black screen. I tried to close Emby Application on TV and start over, but nothing helps. log is attached, time from 22:50 and onwards embyserver-63901350245.txt Edited December 15, 2025 by WingDog
Luke 42077 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Hi, that's odd. I don't see anything obvious here. As a test, are you able to try the latest version over usb?

Hi Luke! would you like to clarify what I have to check? what is "the latest version over USB"?? P.S. yesterday I've got the same situation but was able to continue to watch a Movie. So I can't start new playback but able to continue paused. There are many HTTP 500 errors at the log files, so I suppose these are the clue. It's the same time and onwards. embyserver-63901440001.txt Edited December 16, 2025 by WingDog

These errors appear in the log only after I close the application, so I suppose the timeout is endless or retries are in the loop. Edited December 16, 2025 by WingDog

I launched the Emby app, selected the TV Series section, selected an unwatched TV series, tapped it, and then tapped Play. Then I exited the app by long-pressing the back button on the TV remote.

WingDog 16 Posted December 23, 2025 Author Posted December 23, 2025 (edited) hi! yesterday I found another issue - my Movie library stopped updating content, but Series library still does. I suppose there is a database issue. As I remember SQLite is used for that. Are there any automatic(scheduled) backups\pre-update backups or something like that? or may be some other ideas? Edited December 23, 2025 by WingDog
Solution WingDog 16 Posted December 25, 2025 Author Solution Posted December 25, 2025 (edited) I fixed both issues by myself. the second issue with library updates was fixed by cleaning up folder %AppData%\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\sync and EmbyServer restart. there were many subfolders with some cropped video files inside. the first (and main issue) was the TV itself related issue. First I removed both Emby - black and white, where white is 2.2.9 version installed via USB as an update, but black version was not deleted. black and white are the Apps icon colour at TV. then I powered off the TV and wait for several minutes to complete power cycle. after that I installed 2.2.9 version (white) via USB. After these easy steps Emby works fine. Edited December 25, 2025 by WingDog 1
