wonderwond 2 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 no matter what movie I watch on my own server its only max is 720p to watch, im on a 2gig fiber internet and 1gig ethernet, most all movies are 1080p or better
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 (edited) So your server is remote? What resolution are the files you put in to the server? What bitrate and resolution settings have you set up in the server for remote connections, and also in your local client? And is it actually your server? Paul Edited December 14, 2025 by pwhodges
wonderwond 2 Posted December 14, 2025 Author Posted December 14, 2025 i have a dedicated computer on my network and im connecting on another computer through the network
pwhodges 2012 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 Then your issue is most likely the quality settings in the server and client. If you click the cog icon (bottom left) while playing and select Stats for Nerds, it will tell how the stream is being transmitted; there is similar information on the server dashboard while the client is playing.
