Mercer 1 Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 I updated emby and now when I put in new files it no longer uses the exact filename. I have [brackets] in the filenames/folders and it's always imported exactly as I created it when I use the "Home Movies" selection. It used to work just fine but now it's started completely removing the brackets and text inside the brackets when I import. How do I get it to go back to creating an nfo file exactly as the original filename without changing anything?
Luke 42077 Posted December 13, 2025 Posted December 13, 2025 HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !
Mercer 1 Posted December 13, 2025 Author Posted December 13, 2025 Folder is named "Mercer - Picnic [2025-09-25]" Filename inside folder is "Mercer - Picnic [2025-09-25].mp4" It shows at "Mercer - Picnic" when scanned. When I set it to home movies it used to always just keep it exactly at the filename/folder. It removes the brackets for everything I use them for, not just dates.
Luke 42077 Posted December 14, 2025 Posted December 14, 2025 OK yes I can reproduce this. We'll get this resolved in the next update. Just be advised that the fix won't change content that's already been imported. Thanks.
