Cal1319 0 Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Ok, just moved over from plex, I love the direct play and not needing to transcode anything but I’m frustrated with the movie images. On the web browser everything is perfect. On the Fire Cube I lost almost 1/4 of the images. If I manually update them they are there until I Emby closes down and I open it again the images are gone again. My fire cube is 2nd gen and also have the same issue on my 4K max stick. Thanks for any help!
Luke 42077 Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 HI, can you please show a screenshot of the same screen in the web app? Thanks !
ebr 16169 Posted December 10, 2025 Posted December 10, 2025 Hi. Make sure you are connecting to your server via IPv4 and NOT IPv6. Alternatively, you could try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.
Cal1319 0 Posted December 11, 2025 Author Posted December 11, 2025 Ok, just emby worked great. Much faster too… why are there two options? I want to get a cube 3rd gene but that’s running Vega… will you be updating the community when Emby gets full support for that OS? Thanks for the heads up!

I have a 3rd gen Cube and it is not running Vega. Only their newest Fire TV Stick 4K Select model is. Even if it were not for Vega, that device would be inferior to both the 3rd gen Cube and the 4K Max. They haven't brought Vega to any of their other preexisting devices.
