phx-yang 1 Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 I have purchased a lifetime membership key. I have activated the key on the NAS server side and linked it to my registered Emby account, yet I cannot activate it on any of my clients (iOS and TV devices). I am located in China, and my NAS model is DS423+. I am fully certain that my network can access your domain (mb3admin.com), so this is definitely not a network-related issue. I have already tried several methods mentioned on the forum (e.g., clearing the key on the server side, restarting the server, and then re-entering the key on the clients...), but none of them resolved the problem. Could you please help me analyze the cause? Thank you.

When I access the Emby backend from the internal network, it shows that the activation is successful. However, when I access the backend via app.emby.media or the iOS client to check the activation status, it keeps loading. I can’t play any content either, and a message pops up prompting me to purchase a membership.

Are you seeing any console errors?

Are those local or remote connections? Are you seeing any console errors? I apologize that English is not my native language, so I may not have expressed myself clearly. What I mean is that when I access the web client via the home intranet (http://192.168.50.xxx:8096/web), it shows that the activation has been completed successfully. However, when I access the backend through app.emby.media or the iOS client to check the activation status, it keeps loading indefinitely. I cannot play any content either, and a prompt appears asking me to purchase a membership. This issue persists regardless of whether I use the home intranet, a remote connection, or a 5G network.
phx-yang 1 Posted December 17, 2025 Author Posted December 17, 2025 I sent the log file to ChatGPT, and it concluded that my Emby Server version is 4.9.1, while the version of Emby Web UI (browser client) is 4.9.3. This might be a combination with incomplete cross-version compatibility. However, the installation package I used is the official SPK for Synology, which is the latest version available. I’m not sure if this is the root cause of the problem.

OK, the problem has been resolved. I uninstalled Emby, reinstalled the official Synology version, entered the premiere key again, and then it was successfully activated... 1
