tesla1886 3 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 On November 27th I posted this topic. Now i have a similar but different issue. I just discovered that an episode of the Happy Days is missing, even though the file is there for that episode. I suspect it is because thetvdb does not list it. Is it possible to use the same method in my other topic, but with IMDB or similar website and / or on individual files, if not on folders?
Luke 42077 Posted December 6, 2025 Posted December 6, 2025 HI there, can you please provide a specific example? How to Report a Problem Thanks !

When making this post, I found it seems to be slightly more complicated than I thought. Happy Days has an episode called 'Mork Returns" It is episode 24 of season 6. It is not listed in Emby, however clicking the episode "The Duel" plays "Mork Returns', clicking "Chachi's Incredo-Wax" plays "The Duel" and clicking "Potsie Quits School" Plays ""Chachi's Incredo-Wax". It is not currently possible play the episode "Potsie Quits School" from Emby, despite it being listed in Emby. Although "Potsie Quits School" is listed, it is not currently possible to play it. So, perhaps more easily understandably "Mork Returns" not listed "The Duel" --> "Mork Returns" "Chachi's Incredo-Wax" --> "The Duel" "Potsie Quits School" --> "Chachi's Incredo-Wax" Can't play "Potsie Quits School" from Emby All of this seems to because Mork Returns is not listed on thetvdb.com
Happy2Play 9780 Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 (edited) Not much anyone can do if providers list it differently as TVDB list it as a Special Happy Days - Mork Returns: The Happy Days 5th Anniversary Special - TheTVDB.com Or as also shown DVD order shows it as S06E26 (but changing to DVD order may mess up others as have not compared all) But TMDB list it as S06E24 So you could change library provider order (TMDB, TVDB) Refresh Metadata on this Series and Lock metadata on show then change provider order back. Neminem 1518 Posted December 7, 2025 Posted December 7, 2025 Found the episode here. Happy Days - Mork Returns: The Happy Days 5th Anniversary Special - TheTVDB.com 1
tesla1886 3 Posted December 7, 2025 Author Posted December 7, 2025 Well I got it straightened out, although I am not thrilled with how I had to do it. As @Happy2Play said I changed the library provider order, rescanned "Library Files", but that alone did not change anything, despite TMDB having the same order as IMDB. I renamed the folder for Season 06 and rescanned the "Library Files" again. Although the files they were linked was still not correct, there were now 27 episodes instead of 26, "Potsie Quits School" was listed twice, everything else was the same as described as above. So I had to go into the metadata for episode 24, 25, 26 and change the metadata and thumbnails and lock it to prevent changes. Not ideal but it works.

AWS Marketplace: IMDb Essential Metadata for Movies/TV/OTT (API) This is why we are dependent on the orders TVDB or TMDB provide. Now you may get away with OMDB only but is limited on its data in some ways as Actors are a major limitation per item.
