Newbie / fresh install / NOTHING works

Hi,

I am totally lost: I did the first install ever on a new DS. And nothing works. I don´t know where to start.

Installation, yes it did it. I can access the UI. 

1. but not through a domain pointed at the (fixed) IP address. Browser refuses to open. 

2. I can only access via IP address.

3. Pointing the library to a folder: does not work. The folder is known, I can access it on SSH, but on Emby it says: empty. - It is everything but empty. 

4. It tells me to update the server. It is not possible. 

It points to a page of emby telling me: 

1. Install Emby Server using the Synology Web interface.
2. Start Emby Server using the Synology Web interface.

How? 

I cannot add the package repository https://synology.emby.media

And you are left with nothing. I mean: at a basic stage I need to seek help, because it is totally unclear why these basics are not working. 

Clear, those who know will say RTFM - but that if this is the approach in times of iPhone you are still in stone time.

Please give me a hint where I have to start in this misery.

Hi, there is no package repo anymore. How did you install Emby server?
