PatrickStar 2 Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 I do have the same issue on 4.9.1.80. All music is directly played, no transcoding at all - the transcode log is not even modified for days since i last downloaded music and set a custom quality leading the server to start conversions for the download. No matter if i am on LAN or internet/remote, it is always direct play. All transcoding is enabled, user has full permissions. I have configured the quality at Settings > Playback (Android) > Audio > Streaming quality with Internet to 320 kbps, same for mobile data below. The tunnel network (192.168.10.0/24) is configured in the remote whitelist. Both LAN and remote access trought the same domain / DNS on the routers reverse proxy - emby set to handle headers and let proxy do TLS. The log does show that local network is false for the music playback request. Still only direct play for music - and skips incompatible songs/codecs.
