4k hevc movies/series cannot be played

hi guys

I've been having this problem for a long time and I don't know how to get rid of this annoying message.

I'm browsing the emby app on my TCL TV, which supports all 4K features, most importantly Dolby Vision.

How do I play these movies?

Probably need to see the server log.

I don't think this is enough to solve this problem, perhaps because I'm unaware of some of the required steps. If anyone has experienced the same problem, please share your solution.

Depends on if it is a playback issue or a plugin issue as I have never seen this error.  May need the error translated also.

This is a translation of the error that keeps appearing to me, and which the program believes is caused by these errors :
1) your device not supporting 4K playback
2) or your settings not being compatible with 4K playback
Please adjust the app settings to the highest quality and enable Smart Subtitles

I will assume the devs will still need to see the server and ffmpeg log if present and possibly even the in-app log depending on the client.

Is this you server installed no you own hardware ?

And did you install this plugin ? As it will display something like that.

Yep as a server log would show this.

Yes, this is my server on my TV as well.

 

And to be honest, I don't know anything about this plugin

If you installed it in your server then you should know.

Did you install Quick Start the server on your own hardware / pc ?

Your TV app is only a client, that connects to a your server.

Connecting to others servers, you should have a talk to that person.
