Audio drops when using native player

Player version 2.0.2 (5)

Server 4.91.90

I am experiencing an issue where the audio will randomly drop out momentarily on my Apple TV 4K when avkit is used as the player. It does not happen with the mpv player. The videos are remuxed to mp4 for compatibility.

I know that it’s related to Emby, as the issue doesn’t occur when I play the videos using the native Apple TV player or Infuse. I am not sure if the Emby logs would pick this up.

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

I am not sure if there is anything useful in the server logs. Started playing The Lost Bus at 2025-12-01 22:55. After a few minutes sound was lost for about 30 seconds then it came back

Relevant?  Suspect some damaged issue in the media or extreme bitrate with multiple codecs, subtitles and media size maxing out streaming thoughput?  Just a guess.

Something changed in Apple TV 26 because I did not have this issue before playing mp4 files. It happens with all of them.

OK yes it does appear to be a problem with the player.
