Emby Windows APP causing Server to freeze up.

I have been trying out IPTV in Emby.  I have tried it both with what is builtin in addition to NextPVR.  While it isn't perfect it seems to work OK.  I did however discover a major issue.  I can get the Emby Windows app to straight up cause the server to hang for anyone using Emby at the time.  It is repeatable by opening a high bit rate movie (4k) and attempting to look at the OSD.  If I do it within 10 seconds or so of beginning playback the hang will occur.  I try to exit out of the movie and there are all sorts of issues with the displaying of media, backdrops, info, etc. from then on.  I am certain it has to do with the guide loading.  When I remove guide data the problem is gone.  The time it takes to be safe to attempt to access the OSD increases with the amount of channels and guide data currently in Emby.  It happened yesterday and it took awhile for me to determine the root cause.  Today I removed everything and Emby was perfect.  I slowly started adding channels.  The more that I added the longer I had to wait to access Emby.  During the period when it is loading you can get the OSD to open but it just shows the progress bar.  None of the other elements display until a period of time passes.  Once the guide/data is loaded then you can watch the video normally.  If you try to exit playback right away then there will be a hang that effect all users.  I don't see any settings that may be able to help.  When I use the browser there are no issues.  The same is true for Emby Theater and phone apps.  The issue only comes up with the new app.  It is consistently this way on 4 different computers.  I thought maybe NextPVR would be different but it had zero effect on the issue.  I am going to see if I can figure out how to load less guide data at a time to see if that make a difference.  Any insight into the issue is appreciated.
