majorsl 23 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 I'm using the Android Emby app on my FireTV (not Android TV). I either hit a setting, or the app updated, because when scrolling through episodes in a TV Series it is now horizontal instead of vertical. That is actually is awesome for swiping on my phone, not so much on a TV. If it is a setting can someone point out to me where it is?
GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 While not exactly clear which screen youre referring to with 3 minutes ago, majorsl said: when scrolling through episodes in a TV Series it is now horizontal instead of vertical. I'd assume the setting you're looking for would be "Preferred TV show display" under App Settings>your user Preferemces>Display tab; change it to "Always show season folders".
majorsl 23 Posted November 30, 2025 Author Posted November 30, 2025 Close. With a web browser on a computer: Click Shows, Pick a Show, click on a Season. The episodes scroll vertically (up and down). Now do that with your Phone (Android): The episodes scroll horizontally (left and right). The Android app on my Fire TV used to work like a web browser on a computer, now it works like my phone. I'd prefer to scroll up and down. It showed more of the description of the episode and was a better experience on a TV. If this is an update and the way the latest version is, I guess this is why folks are reluctant to move to the unified app - the use case between a tiny screen vs. the 10ft TV experience are very different. I like the left/right swiping on my phone, just not the TV.
