casperghst42 5 Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Hi, Have there been changes to the player in PIP mode (iPadOS): - controls no longer autothide - I have to tick the player for them to go away. - reverse/backwards control is grayed out. It is very annoying to make the player fullscreen, then press back a few times then minimize again. Cheers.
Luke 42077 Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 Hi, wide version of the Emby app are you using?

Luke 42077 Posted November 29, 2025 Posted November 29, 2025 Hi, we didn't make any changes. It is most likely due to an iOS update.

I reinstalled the App on both my iPhone and iPad and this problem was solved. Now I'm getting the dreaded "No compatible streams are currently available", but I'll start a new thread for that when I have tried all the known solutions. "No compatible streams are currently available" can come from not allowing the client to access the local network. Edited November 30, 2025 by casperghst42

Problem has not been solved (I though it was), I've reinstalled the app (version 2.2.45). It looks to be an issue with the container (media). MP4 (720p H264) will work as it should do, where as MKV (1080p HEVC - Main 10 120 501 kbps) does not. This changed after the latest update of the client, and I have not updated iOS/iPadOS since the release of 18.7.1. Also the "play" status does not update correctly, it will show "pause" even when it's playing, or "play" when it paused. A few taps on play/pause will fix it. Edited November 30, 2025 by casperghst42
