LyraTheLycan 5 Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 (edited) So, I have searched this to no avail. I'm intending to use a Linux VM as a dedicated TV client. Out of all the varied devices I've installed on, only this one makes noises when using a remote; short beeps when pressing the d-pad; fancy long one when pressing enter/OK. I'm semi-convinced it's a hidden setting in Emby (and by hidden I mean not in the GUI, as I've already scoured every menu for some fabled notification sound setting), and not in my OS. I'd like assistance in turning them off.. My machine: Manjaro XFCE My app: emby-theater from Arch repo Edited November 26, 2025 by LyraTheLycan Clarification regarding what I've tried so far
Luke 42077 Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Hi, how did you configure your sound effects options in the app?
Solution LyraTheLycan 5 Posted November 26, 2025 Author Solution Posted November 26, 2025 (edited) Hey - I didn't, it's a fresh install from the AUR, [here](https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/emby-server/). I also reinstalled, still has it. -- Edit: I'm using Theater 3.0.21 -- Edit 2: Solved - I've found the setting in General - toggled from 'None' to 'Default' and back, sounds don't play. Thanks Edited November 26, 2025 by LyraTheLycan Cleanup - found solution 1
