Moving files to a new drive

Is there any way to move files to a new drive without emby recognizing them as new files?

Or any way to bulk change the date added of movies in emby to the file created date?

Save NFOs with media.

Not within Emby core, but maybe Bulky?

1.)  Depends on your setup as Emby should honor the dateadded field of the nfo file if you have existing ones.  (one reason drive pool solutions have an advantage as Emby only sees the Pool not the individual drives)

 

2.)  Only db mod DateCreated  (similar to what the TimeLord plugin does, copy PremiereDate to DateCreated)

Didn't there used to be a plugin for running queries against the database? I could fix this in about 10 seconds if there was. 

 

I found this in the movie library settings.

That implies that it should be using the file creation date.

But, for this file:

Emby shows this:

which is the date/time that the folder was modified, not created

If you changed the option after content was added, then it won't affect existing content.

No, that's what it was set to.  I just found it.  Like I said, something seems to be amiss.
