D-Pad Pin Entry in the Standard Android App?

I was trying to migrate from the Android TV app to the standard Android App but there seems to be no way to turn on the d-pad pin entry setting. Is this not a feature of the standard app? Is it still true you are moving away from the android tv app?

Im also doing the same and thats the one feature I miss from the Emby for Android TV I loved. No one can see my password if they are looking at the TV. 
Is it in the plans to add the feature?

I guess it is really hard to implement.
