Some files do not play

I assume like many of you, I have ripped all of my DVD's to my PVR.

Some files will play on some devices, but not on others.

The files in question will not play on the Roku app or in Web Browsers (Chrome and Firefox)

They will play on Android devices.

Anybody have any idea why these files will not play on all devices. I used the same software to rip these DVD as I did all the others (DVD Fab).

You'd need to be a bit more descriptive about "will not play" as in: Any error messages displayed? What were you trying to play? and provide an example with accompanying logs:

No error messages provided.

Some of the files in question will not play for more than a few seconds, then rebuffer but never start again. Some of the files in question never start playing and buffer right from the start. In both instances they get up to about 75% (re)buffering with the Roku app, but never re(start) playing.

Even when playing on Android for a while and stopping it, then attempting to resume from a web browser, the same behavior is experienced although from where playing was stopped on Android.

The video below shows what occurs.

If you play that item without subs selected (or with downloaded text subs instead), how does it behave?

I haven't watched that file all the way through, but without subtitles it does play further than 5 seconds.

Thank You!

Dev would have to comment but looks like a issue with subtitle scaling.
