Debian 13 VM - Library scanning started hanging indefinitely

Since friday I'm having trouble with scanning my media library.
I've had this VM up for almost 2 years now. where i have a scheduled task to scan my library every night.
Usually this takes only minutes since it's only a few files that have changed, Now it's taking hours on the first library and the percentage just hangs on the same value.
I can stop the scan, start it again and it takes a few seconds to go back to the same value.
I can't make sense of the logs, after a few minutes of starting the scan I'm not seeing any more activity on the scan.
ATM I don't really know what to try out.

HI, perhaps just give it time and allow it to finish? I don't really see anything obvious here. Also please try removing these plugins:

2025-11-20 17:13:42.325 Info App: Loading playback_reporting, Version=2.1.0.7, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/lib/emby/plugins/playback_reporting.dll
2025-11-20 17:13:42.325 Info App: Loading MediaBrowser.Plugins.SmtpNotifications, Version=3.2.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/lib/emby/plugins/MediaBrowser.Plugins.SmtpNotifications.dll
2025-11-20 17:13:42.326 Info App: Loading statistics, Version=3.4.2.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null from /var/lib/emby/plugins/Statistics.dll

Then restart the server and see if that helps.

Hey Luke,
Thanks for the quick reply!
Just a quick update, atm it's still running.

I removed the 3 plugins, restarted Emby and started the library scan.
Just like before it quickly goes through the first library in seconds, where it gets stuck at 91% on the first library.
The scan has been like that since yesterday morning. I'll keep it running and give an update again later if anything has happened :)
