Media DTS 5.1 + subtitle selection cause Samsung App to crash

Hey all,

I have a peculiar case where some pieces of media with the DTS audio codec (with audio transcoding) cause the Emby app to crash completely when External Subs are selected. I can only reproduce this issue with these episode(s) that are encoded with DTS. Other audio codecs like EAC3 5.1 seem to work find, even when transcoding.

It should be this attached log ffmpeg-remux-6ddc1a33-bc7a-4ca1-b72a-2de03fd63800_1.txt.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

Okay, sure. That would make sense if the file also didn't work with English subs, but it does.

Only when "switching" the subtitles to anything other than English causes this issue.

For reference, enabling transcoding does nothing to resolve this issue.

Playing the file with DTS 5.1 + en.srt works
Playing the file with DTS 5.1 + nl.srt does not work

These should be logs for all sessions. Following @pwhodgesadvice I also installed the Diagnostics Plugin and both sessions don't seem weird:

Any other clues?

I've tested this same episode on Google Chrome and eventhough switching to "other" subtitles also takes a little while, at least the browser manages to be able to play the episode eventually.

So far this issue seems to be local to the Samsung app. Will test on Chromecast to see if that also crashes later.

Unfortunately the crash is likely in the Samsung video player, but we'll try to reproduce. Thanks.

If you want, I could share the media and sub files in question so that reproduction might be easier?

@LukeI've contacted @SamESvia PM and shared my files with them and this case will probably be tested in a couple of days according to them.
