Verizon Fios killing my CableCard: Options? Ideas?

It took awhile to get to me in VA, but I just got the same message. My plan is to switch to ChannelsDVR, but I'm interested to hear what device Fios actually sent you. Just a set top box right? I believe this type of router would work with Verizon fiber FIOS. Verizon just doesn't mention this because they don't want the headache of answering support questions.

I think you would want a -3.5 db split coax connection off of the master incoming cable.  If Cable channels start to get artifacts, you may need a Coax line amplifier / booster, as well, usually only needed for large property with 50 foot+ cable runs and more than 3 TV cable connections.

I think its time to start looking into Channels DVR a little harder.  Even if i get a "free" IP box, the DVR service would be more per month.

ChannelsDVR makes an excellent backend for Emby. Once you have the sources set up in CDVR, you create an M3U tuner in Emby, then copy the M3U and EPG links from CDVR to configure the tuner in Emby.

Sounds like a good idea, except right now I'm trying to setup CDVR and it won't take my FIOS credentials, which I know work.

Did you download the stable server? I think that TVE will only work with the pre-release version, but I might be wrong.

its Windows and whatever release was listed on the download page.  I'll try the prerelease
