4.9.1.90 - Recordings Playback

Hey,

 

Anyone else having sound sync issues on Recordings Playback with stable release 4.9.1.90?

 

Everything else seems to be working fine, and recordings are happening. But when I play them back, the sound isn't in sync with the video. Live TV seems okay though.

 

I'm not sure if a standard Emby log will help, so I might need some guidance on how to turn on extra debugging info if a log is needed, or I can give direct remote access to any verified admin since every recording seems to have problems.

 

Let me know if there are some basic settings I can check or how I can give more detailed logs for this. The issue is definitely server-based because it's the same no matter where the recording is played – internally on any TV or device like a Firestick, and externally on phones, laptops, and remote TVs.

 

Any advice?

If it helps, the issue seems to happen if your watching the live stream on tv and the recoding starts, tonight the live stream remained out of sync (even when stopped and started again) only falling back into sync when the recording was stopped then the live stream was restarted.  I use HD homerun for live tv and the stream was perfectly in sync on the HD homerun app.

That's usually true. But every once in a while we might be able to spot something in an ffmpeg log.

I switched back to beta and there is no issue and also for no reason my library has a lot more content so I think the latest stable edition has a number of issues that needs looked at.  All my movies and tv content is back to normal with beta and the lip sync issue is no longer an issue.
