Maximus Naxsus 21 Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 (edited) in the hope it can be benificial, the mentioned update made my server unavailable to the outside world. This has not happend before I have a complex network, I think I need multple checks before I can do proper bug report if this is indeed due to the mentioned update. I've reverted the update by Hyper-V checkpoint, everything is up and running again. Current version: 4.8.11.0 Any questions? Pose them! Edited November 20, 2025 by Maximus Naxsus typo
Luke 42650 Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
Maximus Naxsus 21 Posted November 20, 2025 Author Posted November 20, 2025 I'll spin up to checkpoint in the weekend and retreive the log 1
Maximus Naxsus 21 Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago (edited) ..7 months later.. I still have the checkpoint but the issue is resolved; I've succesfully updated to version 4.9.5.0. Background: A managed switch did not survive the heat wave which made me rebuild my network (with a 10Gbit managed switch (L)) and it became clear I've learned a lot more about network enginering with PfSense compared to about 8 years ago. It is unclear to me what was the exact issue but the combination of issues or improvements I made compared to the previous setup made me try the update process again. The update process is manual btw I'm running Emby as a Windows service. I very much appreciate that all you folks are [still] here! Cheers Edited 1 hour ago by Maximus Naxsus 1
