Cloned my Emby LXC in proxmox, but Server ID matched original server and now emby connect doesn't work

I used claude to try to trouble shoot my emby server.  I made a clone of my actual emby server. It runs in an LXC using version 4.9.1.90.  I wanted a server to use to test some plugins and few others so that should I break anything, it wouldn't interrupt my actual server.  But the server ID's matched. I used Claude code to try to get a new server ID, but I'm still unable to get emby connect services to work.  Claude said the following:

Contact Emby Support - Ask them to create a new Emby Connect registration for server ID da322edb642445a784f3fc0298f2fbae

(Please remove the server ID if it needs to be removed).

If I add emby connect to my account, and accept the invite, then go to app.emby.media and login, my server shows up but it shows my local ip rather than it's domain, and if i try to connect to it it says the server is unreachable.  Would fixing whatever with the server ID fix this?  If so how do I go about getting a new registration or whatever?

I should say I used claude to change whatever files for emby server so that it had a new server id (the one listed above). that's not the same id from the original server i cloned from.

Delete the file device.txt and restart Emby server. It'll generate a new one and that should fix it.
