Add extra material to the film

I find it very nice that additional material can be added.

Why can you use different folder names? If only the Extras folder is displayed at the end.

"In addition to extras, several other sub-folder names are supported:

 Extras

Specials

Shorts

Scenes

Featurettes

behind the scenes

Deleted scenes

Interviews

Trailers"

If I use the Extras & Specials folder, the sorted bonus material will only be displayed in extras.

Am I doing something wrong?

In the end all of those folders are just alias for Extras/specials in Emby.  They will not display all the folders per row.

@sa2000can that be added to the KB?

Why are alias names used at all if they ultimately just mean extras? What advantage do the different folder names offer?

At present only a disadvantage.  Names which are not aliased to Extras will still display separately in many circumstances, which can be handy.

What does it mean, do you have an example to understand?

i would guess it is for compatibility with media files used on other media servers such as Plex

Can you clarify what needs to be added? Is it that these folders should be an either .. or.

could you clarify exactly what you had. Did you have two folders, one named Extras and one named Specials ? and did some of these not show up?

No, just that all of those will end up in the same "Extras" row in the UI (Item detail view), which is about the opposite of what the OP is asking for, I would assume threy are expecting each extra type to be displayed in its own row (per-folder type); IMHO that'd be a tad excessive, but it's up to @Luke

As @pwhodgessaid:none in the item detail screen where they'll all be combined under single Extras row. There are few related FR about sorting those, though, you can lend your support to any (or all) of them:

Edit: IIRC here was also a plugin in since way related to Extras by @roaku, gimme a moment to find it, it was a year or two since I've seen it.

Edit: Here, for easier distinction between extras type; honestly don't know whether the plugin is still maintained - or if it works with 4.9 server version; you can always test it, though.

Both Movie Naming and TV Naming articles have now been updated to add a note indicating this
