Firestick not working after server update

Ever since installing Server 4.9.1.90 on Wednesday 11/12/25 the Firestick on my bedroom TV has stopped working. When I try to play something it gives me the option to get a subscription or play for one minute. I checked my premiere key in config everything looked fine, requested a new key and put that in, rebooted everything with no change.

It looks like something is blocking internet access.

This is usually firewall, security software, bad DNS server or you router.

My home network / router is frequently not connected to the internet and has never been an issue in the past. I know the firestick is talking to the server because if I am watching a movie on the server and stop it, then move to the firestick it shows the movie I was just watching on the server along with all the recently added items. It just acts like it does not know I am a premiere member

Then you were just lucky that outage/disconnection didn't last long enough for the issue to manifest. 

Both server and client apps need to "phone home" occasionally to verify license (no, it is not enough for only server to do it). If there's no connection, server will run on cache for a period of time. Ditto for client apps, if they've been offline for a period of time, they'll need to verify again.
