czong 0 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 My Setup: App: Emby Mobile App (Android) Display: Rokid Max AR Glasses 1. Critical Bug Description: When connecting the Emby mobile app to my Rokid Max glasses, the "Cover" and "Fill" aspect ratio modes are completely broken. Current Behavior (Bug): Instead of scaling the video proportionally, these modes only stretch the video horizontally. This results in a distorted, very wide, and small image (e.g., a 16:9 video looks like 64:9). It is unusable on the AR display. Expected Behavior: The zoom function must scale the video proportionally (zooming equally on all sides) to fill the screen. 2. Usability Problem: The current method for adjusting the aspect ratio (Gear Icon > Aspect Ratio) is buried too deep. It's very inconvenient during playback. 3. Suggestions: FIX THE BUG: Please fix the scaling logic for external AR displays like the Rokid Max. "Zoom" and "Fill" must be proportional scaling, not horizontal stretching. Add a "Zoom/Aspect Ratio" Button: Please add a dedicated button directly to the main player control overlay (next to the Play/Pause buttons) to quickly cycle through modes.
Luke 42077 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Hi, cover doesn't do that, right? cover does not stretch.
czong 0 Posted November 14, 2025 Author Posted November 14, 2025 Hi, thank you for responding. You are absolutely correct. "Cover" should not stretch. It is supposed to zoom proportionally to fill the screen (and crop the edges). The problem I am reporting is a BUG. On my specific setup (Emby Mobile App connected to Rokid Max AR glasses), the "Cover" function IS BUGGED. When I select "Cover" (or "Fill"), the function does not work correctly. Instead of a proportional zoom, it DOES stretch the image only horizontally. This is a bug specific to how the mobile app handles external AR displays. The image becomes distorted and unusable (looks like 64:9). Please test this specifically with an AR device. This is not a feature request, this is a bug report about incorrect scaling/stretching.
