sabayon 10 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Hello everyone. On the same iMac, I can open Emby and watch movies on one browser, but not on another browser. I usually use the Vivaldi browser (successor to Opera) and am very happy with it. Emby runs excellently on almost all iMacs and MacBooks (all with the latest macOS Sequoia). On a newly installed iMac, the identical address that works on all my computers and smartphones cannot be reached. The server is not reachable. So I copied the address and opened it in Safari and Chrome on the same iMac. Works without problems. Does anyone have an idea as to what this could be? I first thought about the Vivaldi browser settings. But that can't actually be the case, because it synchronizes the settings via Vivaldi Sync. Emby, the server software, the OS and the browsers are all in their latest stabil versions. I'm a bit at a loss. It would be really cool if you had a tip on what else I could look for. Best regards.

It's both, LAN and WAN. I used the link you can see in the screenshot below and it works on all other computers perfectly. Edited November 12, 2025 by GrimReaper WAN IP masked

And when you clicked on it, in your Vivaldi browser address bar, does it still say http:// or it was maybe automatically upgraded to https://? Edit: Is there a particular reason you're still on 4.8.11 0 server version and didn't upgrade to 4.9.1.80 stable? Edited November 12, 2025 by GrimReaper Append

GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 (edited) Hm. Do you have any browser extensions that might be interfering? If you open same link in Incognito/Private mode, does it connect? Edited November 12, 2025 by GrimReaper

GrimReaper 4739 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 So have you tried this? 10 minutes ago, GrimReaper said: If you open same link in Incognito/Private mode, does it connect? 1
