ellisd4 73 Posted November 10, 2025 Posted November 10, 2025 Same issue I have. Can happen at any point in media playback. Latest was at 542 am in my logs today. You can ignore any log entries regarding a Sonarr Tagging Plugin. That’s a personal plugin development project I’m working on and installed it last night. This has been happening for at least 3 weeks without that plugin. I’ve tried deleting and refreshing all metadata since there were some entires about bad “People” paths from my move to docker last year (from Windows). I’ve deleted and reinstalled the clients but it happens on all of them. I’ve tried stopping any scheduled tasks, but this can happen mid day so decided that wasn’t it. Transcode and media metadata temp cache are all being done to ram now to speed up things. All emby configuration files exist on ssd cache. embyserver 4.txt

Luke 42077 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Could the bitrate be too high for the device or network connection?

The files range from 6-10mbps bitrate. This happens on both my android tvs. One is on WiFi and the other is hardwired into my 2.5gbe switch. It’s not that the content doesn’t play. It’s like after playing for a certain amount of time the Emby app goes idle and just stops playback. The screen freezes as if the content was paused. Sometimes I just get kicked back to the Home Screen. 90% of the time this is happening when shuffling a tv show season… in most of these cases it’s 30 seconds into starting a new episode. The other times is watching movies.
ebr 16169 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Hi. Are you actually paying attention to the screen when this happens? Do you have the are you still watching feature turned on?

My original comment was in the response to But it looks like my thread got moved to its own topic. 1

ellisd4 73 Posted November 13, 2025 Author Posted November 13, 2025 Yes… But not related to this stream. Another person, in this case, was streaming and transcoding. I’ll get a clean log next time it occurs and upload. 1
