KLF&TLF 28 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 I’m currently running Emby and Plex in parallel — don’t ask, it’s a long story, and let’s just say Emby manages to test my patience daily. I’ve just upgraded to a shiny new M4 chip machine to host the server, but Emby apparently didn’t get the memo. It spins itself into beach ball purgatory at least three times a day, forcing me to reboot the whole system like it’s 1999. Restarting the Emby server alone? Utterly useless — might as well whisper motivational quotes at it. And while we’re here — a quick rant on Emby’s user statistics. They’re about as reliable as a politician’s promise. It claims I have “100% of episodes” for several TV shows, yet when I actually check, I discover missing episodes buried behind Emby’s long, overcomplicated, arse-about interface.
Luke 42077 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!

Maybe it is a plugin, but honestly, it has Emby’s fingerprints all over it. A classic example of what’s broken: I have every Ghost Adventures episode ever made — across all the spin-offs, specials, and random “haunted-toaster” extras — yet ever since Emby removed the ‘report missing episodes’ feature, I’ve been stuck manually checking every single series. When your library has over a thousand series, that’s not a weekend project — that’s a cry for help. You’d think the statistics would save the day, right? Nope. They claim I’ve got “100% of episodes of other series,” which is adorable, until I actually open the show and find half of them missing in action. So either the stats are about as honest as a used-car salesman, or this is just another classic Emby bug that’s been politely ignored into middle age.

Which log do you want exactly? And if you’re referring to one hiding under Advanced, please point me in the right direction — because I’ve looked, and unless it’s written in invisible ink, I can’t see it there. I do see it under Emby Server, though. Might have to get my optometrist to tweak my prescription if it’s supposed to be somewhere else.

This is a community plugin, and you get a warning dialog box when you install that it's not developed by the Emby Team. I would suggest posting in the dedicated topic for it over in the Plugins section to ensure that the developer will see this.

All of the log files that were written to during the time that the problem was experienced. Thanks.
