MediaEmby1968 47 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 In a living room during the day, it's somewhat visible, but at night in a dark room, it's completely unreadable. I'm not referring to the player itself, but to the information it displays, such as the end time, remaining playtime, and release year. My thought is, if it gives you that information and it's not clear... what's the point of providing it if it's not visible? Previously, all that information was displayed in white. Now you've changed it to a medium gray, which, as I mentioned, is completely invisible at night. I've been using it for a while now, but I couldn't take it anymore and had to say something. It would be appreciated if you could revert it to the old display; at least in version 1.9.2, it looked like that. I don't know what others think, but I had to say it. Regards
Luke 42077 Posted November 11, 2025 Posted November 11, 2025 Hi there, can you please show a screenshot example? Thanks.
MediaEmby1968 47 Posted November 11, 2025 Author Posted November 11, 2025 Hi Luke, here you go. The photo was taken with a mobile phone near the TV. The color of the episode title text is different in this case, as are the remaining time and end time. It's even worse in dark scenes. And this is considering it's practically right next to the TV. You can't even see it from 3 meters away.

But even before, with version 1.9.2, it looked like I described. Then I upgraded to 2.1.9 (which I'm not sure if it looked the same), and now I have version 2.2.6, installed on October 20, 2025.
Luke 42077 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 OK yea it's supposed to be brighter, and is in newer environments. It is probably something specific to very old models. Thanks.
MediaEmby1968 47 Posted November 12, 2025 Author Posted November 12, 2025 Regarding older models, Luke, you must have changed something in this version 2.2.6, or even an earlier one. It looked fine with version 1.9.2, and the TV is still the same. If you don't change anything, nothing will change; it's just common sense. Obviously, I'll have to continue like this, but it looks terrible. Regards.
SamES 1056 Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 The issue is that it’s a very old model, and Samsung have not allowed us to provide updates to it until recently, so the previous version was a little way behind. Any change was probably made long ago Being an old model, some ‘modern’ web features are not supported which adds challenges in maintaining the app for this model, so the change in color/shade would not have been intentional, but may have been unavoidable. I will see if I can identify what is causing it to render this way on the older models
MediaEmby1968 47 Posted November 12, 2025 Author Posted November 12, 2025 Thanks Sames, if you find the right key that's great.
