Do I need SSL for others to connect externally?

My family use to be able to connect with no problem. But now nobody can connect except me from within my own network. What do I need to do to be able to get them connected to my Emby?

One thing to note is that in some circumstances modern browsers will try to force ssl (https) connections from their end.  It is possible in their settings to override this to re-enable access using http.

If it used to work, but now it doesn't, it sounds like there might be something wrong in the communications.

Did you maybe reset your router or so, causing the ports to no longer be forwarded to your server? Did you add a new device in between since last time they were able to connect?

All in all your issue sounds like a network issue and as @Lukementioned we would like to know "how" your users are trying to connect to you (via a ip, domain, via app or browser, etc). Please provide as much information as possible.
