Restore The Passthrough Feature Please

I  would like the return of the passthrough audio feature. I get PCM showing on my receiver display, i have to go up close to see how many channels its getting which is a pain. My receiver could be getting 2 channels or 5 but i need to go up close to find out. PCM does not tell me which of the many surround sound formats its being received.

hi the windows app, it seems to be missing, i assumed this feature has been removed

H Bob1969, Neil1972 here.

From memory you were using the windows app.

The passthrough feature works fine, Emby wont show the passthrough codec check boxes unless windows detects an HDMI connection to your receiver and support for HD audio formats.

What version of windows are you using?

Are you turning your receiver on before opening Emby?

If Emby is running and I turn my receiver on I only get PCM output.

Yes its working fine any any formats i play are displayed correctly on my AVR
