Downloading Specific Meta-Data

I am currently running a server off my NAS with multiple libraries running. Normal Movies, TV Shows and then family videos that have custom thumbnails.

I am looking to set up a second NAS in a different location with just these family videos as I am moving house soon.
I want to retain the meta data that was set up custom for these videos as my son enjoyed making "Thumbnails" but has since lost the originals.

I have been able to mass download all meta data on the sever to a separate folder on the NAS using puTTY but when it comes to posters/thumbnails it is largely randomly titled and impossible to sort through.
Is there a way I can download metadata of actors (We each have custom actor profiles) and posters/thumbnails of only a specific library.
Titles, actors and any other info is not so important but posters cant be re-done sadly.

Thanks

I have tried but the plugin has never worked for me.
Always immediately hitting and error - Hence why I was manually downloading metadata

a29be40c-9875-4ba1-92a7-edad6501ab19.jfif 98.38 kB · 0 downloads fad8eb72-c095-4648-a16d-3da05b9e0a72.jfif 25.38 kB · 0 downloads

Would need to see the server log to see why it failed.

Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred:

Thanks!

It looks like permission issues.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/volume1/Stuff/Emby/Backup/embyserver-backup-full' is denied.
     ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied

Hi. Yes if you can resolve the permissions problem, then that should resolve your issue.

So resolving my it via the emby user on the NAS having correct permission?

Ok, the plugin / backup was able to run. But it is the same in that it is still downloading metadata for all libraries and all in a very hard to sort way.

Hi, what exactly do you mean by this? What is the problem? What would you like it to do?

So I have multiple libraries in the same server.
Movies, TV and then home videos.

As part of setting up a server at a new house I want to keep the custom metadata that was created for the home videos for fun by my son. Unfortunately the original copies were deleted some how.
When I download metadata I want to know if it is possible to target only a single library. As I said in the original post:

"I have been able to mass download all meta data on the sever to a separate folder on the NAS using puTTY but when it comes to posters/thumbnails it is largely randomly titled and impossible to sort through.

Have you taken a look at the options on each library? You can disable internet metadata there.

So disable the internet metadata of other libraries and then backup?

I've read through your situation but I don't think I can really answer if that's the best thing to do. It really just depends. For example, where will metadata come from for new content that you add?

I really was just trying to directly respond to what you said. You made a comment that made it look like you didn't know that you could disable various features on each library, so I was just trying to let you know that you could.
