Emby server keeps crashing during playback

I'm currently using Emby 4.9.2.6 beta on a Mi10 device, been running smoothly for the last month, except this last 2 weeks.

Certain episodes just stop playing and the server just crashes, it appears that certain shows just make it bail out.

I can watch some episodes back to back on some shows and have no issues whatsoever. I initially thought it was the external HDD attached to my phone, but no, I moved the troublesome shows to the internal storage and still get the issue, even after checking they are good, I even copied the files again to ensure the no issues, but I still get the problem.

I can play the files directly from the hard drive on both the phone and PCs/TVs and there are no issues with the files in question, which leads me to think it must be an emby issue, hopefully someone can take a look at the log attached to tell me what the issue maybe or if it's a bug that can be fixed.

TIA

Hi there, what do you mean by crashing?

I would also suggest removing these plugins and then seeing how things compare:

	Security Cams 1.0.0.0
	Simkl TV Tracker 1.0.7.0

Removed and will let you know.

By crashing I mean, crashing, the server app closes on the phone.

the server app closes on the phone.

There is a strong possibility of it being killed by the OS in order to free up resources for other apps. There's nothing we can do about that. Generally speaking if you want to run the server on android, you will need an android device that you can almost exclusively dedicate to it.

Yup, this is pretty much the only thing it's running bar a USB Server and SMB to access the connected drive.

I am assuming there is nothing in the logs to indicate why it's crashing?

I don't necessarily think it's crashing, but rather that it's getting terminated by the OS.

Are you still running into this?

Yes I kept getting the same issue, I've binned it off in favour of a Windows device instead. Shame as I wanted a 'portable' server. But if it's a limitation of the device I get it.
